# eSIM Égypte

eSIM Égypte (esimegypte.com) sells prepaid eSIM data plans to tourists and business
travellers going to Egypt. Plans are sold by TRIP LENGTH, from 1 to 30 days, not by
data allowance. After payment the QR code is emailed immediately; install it before
departure and it activates on first connection to an Egyptian network.

Prices are per plan, in EUR, VAT included. Validity starts on first connection to an Egyptian network — not at purchase and not at installation, so you can install the eSIM before you fly.

## Data policy (fair use)

Data is unlimited in VOLUME on every plan — you cannot run out and you are never cut off or charged extra. A fair-use policy applies: roughly 1 GB per 24-hour period runs at full 4G LTE speed, after which the speed is reduced to about 512 Kbps for the remainder of that 24 hours, then resets. Supplier tier: eSIM Go "Standard Unlimited Lite".

## What is NOT included

- **No voice calls and no SMS** — these are data-only plans
- **No Egyptian phone number** is provided, and none can be bought from us
- **No customer account and no app** — the QR code arrives by email, you scan it in your phone's settings
- **No top-up / recharge** — plans do not extend; buy a new plan when one expires
- **No GB packages** — pricing is by DURATION only, never by data bucket

4G LTE nationwide across Egypt's operators: Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt and e& Egypt. 5G is in trial in parts of Cairo and Alexandria and is not guaranteed.

## Device compatibility

iPhone XS / XS Max / XR (2018) and every later iPhone. Samsung Galaxy S22 and later, plus the Galaxy Z Fold / Z Flip range; the Galaxy S20 and S21 are region-dependent and must be checked. Google Pixel 4 and later; the Pixel 3 range is carrier-dependent and must be checked. The phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Some China/Hong Kong market variants ship without eSIM at all. ## Frequently asked questions

### How do I activate my Egypt eSIM?

After your purchase, you'll receive a QR code by email. Go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add a line, then scan the QR code. The eSIM installs in seconds and activates automatically on your first connection to Egyptian network.

### Is my phone eSIM compatible?

eSIMs work on iPhone XS and later (2018+), Samsung Galaxy S22 and later plus Galaxy Z Fold 2-6 and Z Flip 3-6, and Google Pixel 4 and later. The Galaxy S20 and S21 (including FE) and the Pixel 3 and 3a depend on the exact model and region — the S20 has eSIM only on international Exynos versions, not US Snapdragon ones — so check those with our compatibility checker.

### When does my plan validity start?

The plan starts on your first connection to Egyptian network — not at purchase, nor at installation. You can install the eSIM before departure without starting the timer.

### Is the data really unlimited?

Yes, the data is unlimited — you can't run out. A fair-use policy applies: high speed covers normal daily use, then the speed is reduced beyond that, with no extra charge and no cut-off.

### Can I keep my WhatsApp number while using the eSIM?

Yes. Your physical SIM stays active for calls and WhatsApp. The Egypt eSIM works in parallel and only handles your mobile data. Both lines coexist without issue on Dual SIM devices.

## Installation

**iPhone** — Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → scan the emailed code.
Label the line "Egypt". Keep your home line for calls and SMS, and turn Data Roaming ON
for the eSIM line only.

**Android (Samsung/Pixel)** — Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Add eSIM → scan the
code. Set the eSIM as the mobile-data line.

Install over Wi-Fi before you travel; the download needs internet. The plan does not
start counting until the eSIM first connects to a network in Egypt.
